CORE Action Group is Hiring: Survey Party Chief
Sample responsibilities for this position include:
Remain current on surveying practices, guidelines, and best practices.
Responsible for following company’s policies and procedures.
Identifies hazardous situations and applies safety procedures and company standards.
Will be responsible for field data collection, using proper survey procedures and reporting survey findings.
Detailed note keeping, equipment care and management of field assistants.
Be able to read and interpret Plats, Blueprints from Architects and Engineers.
Should be able to mange different type of Surveying such as: Residential, Commercial, Construction, Staking for new buildings, Topograpic Survey, Elevation Certificates, etc..
Should be familiar with functional operation adjustment and use of total station, GPS, levels and Survey Softwares.
Responsible for using assigned survey equipment proficiently to collect and document survey data that is consistently accurate, thorough, and complete.
Be able to Transfers survey data to the proper files in the computer network and acquires data for field use.
Ability to upload and download data collectors, both conventional and GPS, reduce field notes, perform courthouse research, and review title work.
Writes field notes, makes field sketches, and collects site photographs, in a clear, thorough, well organized and concise manner in accordance with the company’s standard procedures.
Manage 1 person who acts as a helper.
Drives company vehicle to reach job sites.
Mobility around a job/construction site to include walking, bending, crawling, climbing, squatting, or kneeling and wearing of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Other duties not described herein may be assigned by the supervisor as the need arises
Qualifications for survey party chief:
High school diploma or GED required, associate degree or bachelor’s degree preferred. Commensurate relevant experience considered.
Speak English very fluently.
Three or more (3+) years of experience working on a land surveying party.
Prior Party Chief experience a plus.
Thorough knowledge of construction stakeout procedures and practices.
Familiar with field procedures for performing boundary and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
Ability to perform all aspects of data collected field fun topographic surveys, road frontage cross-section surveys and as-built surveys.
Through knowledge of total station, GPS and data collection, with the ability to adapt to new equipment and technologies.
Current, valid State Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record as determined by the Company.
